Sabtang Island
Vayang Rolling Hills
Vayang Rolling Hills is a series of continuous grassy ridges located on the western coast of North Batan Island, just north of Basco town. Offering uninhibited views of the West Philippine Sea, Mount Iraya, and the distant silhouettes of Sabtang and Itbayat Islands, Vayang is one of the premier landscape features of Batanes.

Geography and Panoramic Vistas
Unlike the communal grazing pastures of South Batan, Vayang's undulating green slopes roll directly down into coastal cliffs bordering the sea channel.
From the crest of Vayang's ridges, visitors can view three inhabited islands at once on clear days, along with the entire sweep of North Batan's coastline.
What to See and Experience
1. 360-Degree Landscape Viewing
A short walk up unpaved grass footpaths leads to high ridge vantage points. From here, travelers can capture vast landscape views combining green grass, sea cliffs, deep blue ocean, and dramatic cloud formations.
2. Sunset Watching Across the West Philippine Sea
Vayang faces west, making it an exceptional alternative to Naidi Hills for watching the sunset over open water.
3. Coastal Wind Experience
The open geographic position of Vayang subjects the hills to constant maritime breezes from the Luzon Strait.
